On Saturday, few armed robbers were in a shootout with police officers. Outside the Caesars Atlantic City Casino on Saturday morning Demetrius Cross, 28, Jerome Damon, 25 and Martell Chisholm, 29, attempted to rob 3 people, so when the police came they started to shoot at them and left on officer paralyzed and on the ventilator fighting for his life.

Anyhow when the criminals arrived at their court hearing Tuesday, they were shocked by the surprise that was waiting for them.

Officer Josh Vadell was shot in the head and Damon was shot many times and died at the scene. Vadell was rushed to the hospital and is in critical condition.

Officer Vadell’s wife, Miraculously, just revealed that her husband is doing very well:

“Update on Josh… he is doing amazing!!! They took him off the ventilator this morning, he is responding with small words, able to sit supported in a chair and now having some movement on his Left side. He is improving every day and I believe it is from all of the love and support you all bring to our family. Sorry, I can not respond to you all individually, but I see you all care and I am telling Josh how much he is loved.”

But there is another wonderful news when Chisholm and Cross stepped in the courtroom they discovered that the whole room was filled with police officers wearing their uniforms as a sign of support for Officer Vadell.

They couldn’t even look at the police officers.

The police officers were standing peacefully to honor their colleague. But sadly, not everyone thinks that the wounded officer deserves a support. Wayne County Circuit Court Judge Craig Strong defended the shooter Donald Simmons when the officers appeared in his courtroom.

Officer Jamarian Holloway was injured in the hand when he was trying to take away the gun of Simmons’ hands. Simmons arrived at court to find out that the officers have come to support their colleague when he and his family couldn’t attend the hearing.

“My friends and family couldn’t be here today, so I needed my brothers in blue to be here today,” Holloway said.

Then Judge Strong told the officers that if they wanted to wear the uniforms they should leave. He later confessed he did that explaining that they look intimidating.

Strong then gave Simmons a plea deal charging him only with causing injury, felony firearm possession and resisting arrest, allowing him to get away with an attempted murder of an officer charge.
