The O’Reilly Factors show by Fox News was launched back in 1996 before the network got where it is now. The show became a big hit around the world in just a short time, with Bill O’Reilly offering his view on recent issues around the USA and the world. After 2 decades at Fox, O’Reilly’s era is coming to an end, if a recent New York Magazine report is to be believed.

“Embattled Fox News host Bill O’Reilly announced tonight that he is taking a vacation. O’Reilly’s decision to go off the air in the midst of a sexual harassment scandal and advertiser boycott arguably has the appearance of a suspension, but O’Reilly worked to dispel that notion. He announced that he’d scheduled his trip “last fall” — well before the New York Times reported he paid millions to settle harassment claims,” the report said, and continued: But, according to four network sources, there’s talk inside Fox News that tonight’s show could be his last. Lawyers for the law firm Paul, Weiss, hired last summer by 21st Century Fox to investigate Roger Ailes, are currently doing a “deep dive” investigation into O’Reilly’s behavior.”

However, Fox News confirmed that O’Reilly will be back on April 24th, and the host himself announced that the trip was “pre-planned”, squashing down the rumors immediately. The report about his vacation comes after the news that the popular TV show host settled a series of sexual harassment lawsuits for $13 million. Former Fox News CEO Roger Ailes stepped down from  his position last year after reports of sexual harassment at the workplace, so it’s interesting to see how this thing with O’Reilly plays out.
